Ingredients
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough or biscuit dough
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices (or regular pepperoni, chopped)
1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce, for dipping
1/4 cup melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
- Roll out the pizza or biscuit dough and cut it into 8-10 equal squares or circles.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of shredded mozzarella and a few pieces of pepperoni in the center of each dough piece. Pull the dough edges up and over the filling, pinching tightly to seal.
- Place the filled dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture over each dough ball.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the bombs are golden brown and cooked through.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and add fresh basil or parsley if desired.
- Serve warm with marinara or pizza sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- You can substitute the mini pepperoni with chopped regular-sized pepperoni if preferred.
- For a spicier version, add some sliced jalapeños or drizzle hot sauce inside the dough.
- Feel free to use other types of cheese like cheddar or provolone for a different flavor profile.
- These pizza bombs can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
