Description

When you’re craving something indulgent and flavorful, nothing hits the spot quite like a plate of Creamy Cajun Steak Alfredo. This rich and creamy pasta dish combines tender, juicy steak with the perfect kick of Cajun seasoning, all enveloped in a luscious, cheesy Alfredo sauce. Whether it’s a cozy night in, a weekend treat, or a dinner party conversation starter, this dish brings both comfort and excitement to the table.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced into strips
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the garlic and onion, cooking for 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and steak strips to the sauce, tossing to coat everything evenly. Cook for 1-2 minutes to heat through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a good cut of steak like ribeye or sirloin for the best flavor and tenderness.
  • Don’t overcook the steak. Sear it until it’s just browned on the outside for the perfect texture.
  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning to your heat preference. Add extra cayenne pepper for more spice or reduce the seasoning for a milder flavor.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.
  • Fresh parsley adds color and a refreshing flavor, but other herbs like basil or thyme can be used for variation.
