Easter is a time for family, fun, and, of course, delicious food! This Easter, why not bring something truly indulgent to the table? The Easter Oreo Cookie Casserole is a no-bake dessert that combines creamy layers with the irresistible crunch of crushed Oreos, making it the perfect sweet treat for your holiday celebration. Inspired by the classic flavors of cookies and cream, this dish is easy to make and guaranteed to become a new Easter tradition.
Ingredients
1 package (14 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
• 2 cups cold milk
• 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
• 1 cup pastel-colored candy-coated chocolates
• ½ cup mini chocolate sandwich cookies for garnish
Instructions
- Create the Cookie Crumbs: Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies using a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin until they become fine crumbs. Set aside ½ cup for topping.
- Whip the Creamy Layer: In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and continue mixing until well incorporated.
- Prepare the Pudding Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Once set, gently fold in whipped topping until combined, creating a fluffy consistency.
- Assemble the Layers: In a 9×13-inch dish, spread half of the crushed cookies evenly, pressing lightly to form a base. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie layer, smoothing it out. Pour the pudding mixture on top and spread evenly. Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs over the top.
- Decorate & Chill: Scatter pastel chocolates over the top and garnish with mini sandwich cookies. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Serve & Enjoy: Once chilled, slice and serve for a creamy, crunchy, and chocolate-filled Easter treat!
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture and flavor.
- Be sure to refrigerate the casserole for at least 2 hours to allow it to set properly.
- If desired, you can add an extra layer of crushed Oreos between the pudding and cream cheese layers for more crunch.
- This dessert can be made ahead of time and chilled overnight.
- Feel free to get creative with the toppings, such as using chocolate chips, crushed candy bars, or marshmallow peeps for a fun, festive touch.
